You will be using Google Slides to create a Presentation over yourself. This PowerPoint will have 4 interesting facts about yourself; however, 3 of them will be true and one will be a lie. Make sure these are appropriate! Then you will present your Presentation in front of the class, and your classmates will try and decide which slide is the 1 lie.

You will be using Google Slides to create a Presentation over yourself. This PowerPoint will have 4 interesting facts about yourself; however, 3 of them will be true and one will be a lie. Make sure these are appropriate! Then you will present your Presentation in front of the class, and your classmates will try and decide which slide is the 1 lie.
- Go to your Google Drive.
- Click the “New“ button.
- Select “Google Slides.”
- Click on “Untitled document” in the upper-left corner.
- Rename your document “3 Truths & 1 Lie.”
Here are the requirements that need to be in your Presentation in order for you to get your points:
- You need to insert a total of 6 slides. (To insert slides, click on the “New Slide” button.)
- First Slide:
- Make the Slide Layout “Title Slide.”
- Type your name in the “Click to add title” textbox.
- Type “3 Truths & 1 Lie” in the “Click to add subtitle” textbox.
- Second Slide:
- Make the Slide Layout “Title and Two Columns”
- In your Left Textbox, type 1 of the truths or the 1 lie on this slide. (Example: I have never eaten seafood.) Include 1 picture or shape that represents your truth or lie.
- Leave the Right Textbox empty for now.
- Type “Is this the truth or a lie?” in the Title Textbox at the top of the slide.
- Third Slide:
- Make the Slide Layout “Title and Body”
- Type “Is this the truth or a lie?” in the Title Textbox at the top of the slide.
- Then type 1 of the truths or the 1 lie in the textbox.
- Include 1 picture or 1 shape that represents your truth or lie.
- Click on your textbox→Click “Arrange” Menu→Click “Rotate” Option → Click “Rotate Counter-Clockwise 90”→Adjust your textbox to have it fit on the slide. This should have flipped your text vertically.
- Fourth Slide:
- Choose which ever Slide Layout that you would like to use.
- Type “Is this the truth or a lie?” in the Top Textbox.
- Type 1 of the truths or the 1 lie somewhere on this slide.
- You need to insert a Shape on this page (make sure the shape goes well with your text.)
- Fifth Slide:
- Change your Slide Layout to “Blank”.
- Then add 1 text box.
- This text box needs to have a color fill of your choice.
- This text box needs to have a line color of your choice with a weight of 8px
- You may also change the Line Dash.
- Type in the text box 1 of the truths or the 1 lie on this slide.
- Include 1 picture or shape that represents your truth or lie.
- Sixth Slide:
- Change your Slide Layout to “Caption”
- Insert a picture of your choice into the slide that represents you.
- Click on the “Insert” Menu→Click “Image”
- Edit your Photo.
- Then Title your Photo in the “Click to add text” Textbox.
- Finally add a description of how the photo represents you in the “Click to Add Text” Textbox.
- Change your Presentation’s Theme:
- Click on the “Slide” Menu → Then select “Change Theme”→ Then select any of the Themes that are on the “Theme” Menu that you would like to have (You may also select “Import Theme” at the bottom of the “Theme Menu”) →You should see your PowerPoint Theme change.
- You need to change one thing on your Theme Design, make sure it is clearly noticeable. (Example: font size, color, background color, text box fill color, etc…)

- You need to add Transitions to EVERY slide in your PowerPoint.
- To add Transitions click on the “Transitions” Button on the toolbar→ An “Animations” Menu will open up on the right→Click on the “No Transition” Dropdown→Select one of the six transitions of your choice →Select a Speed of your choice→ Click “Play” to test out your transition
- You may make each slide a different transition or you play click “Apply to all Slides.”
- To add Transitions click on the “Transitions” Button on the toolbar→ An “Animations” Menu will open up on the right→Click on the “No Transition” Dropdown→Select one of the six transitions of your choice →Select a Speed of your choice→ Click “Play” to test out your transition
- On your second slide add this bulleted list to the Right Textbox, make sure the bullets are modified (ex: change the color):
- CAN
- YOU
- GUESS
- IF
- THIS
- IS
- TRUE?
- On your third slide add an Image or Shape of your choice. Make sure it goes well with your text.
- You need to add 1 slide at the end of your PowerPoint →Therefore your PowerPoint should have a total of 7 Slides→This slide needs to reveal which slide had the Lie:
- Change your Slide Layout to “Title and Body”
- Type “Which Slide was the Lie?” in the Top Textbox.
- Insert a Question Mark (?) Image of your choice.
- You now need to link your Question Mark Image to the slide that was a lie
- Select your Question Mark Image→Click the “Insert Link” Button on your Toolbar → Click “Slides in this Presentation”→Select the Slide that is the Lie.
- Test your Link to make sure it works.
- Follow the saving instruction steps in the middle of your desk in order to get a grade.
- You will be presenting this in front of the class. You will get 10 points for presenting properly.

- Has typed either 1 of the truths or the 1 lie in the Textbox.
- Has changed their Text Direction of their text box to “Rotate Counter-Clockwise 90”
- Includes 1 picture or shape that goes well with the text.
- Fourth Slide:
- Has chosen a Slide Layout of their choice.
- “Is this the truth or a lie?” is in the Top Textbox.
- Has typed either 1 of the truths or the 1 lie somewhere on this slide.
- Includes 1 picture or shape that goes well with the text.
- Fifth Slide:
- Slide Layout is set to “Blank”.
- Has one textbox.
- This textbox has a color fill.
- This textbox has a line color with a weight of 8px
- Has typed in the text box 1 of the truths or the 1 lie on this slide.
- Includes 1 picture or shape that goes well with the text.
- Sixth Slide:
- Slide Layout is set to “Caption”
- Has inserted a picture of their choice into the slide that represented the student.
- The photo is edited.
